An update for those of you faithful keeping tabs on my life who, for whatever ungodly reason, choose to peruse the information on here every once in a while when I never do post anything anyway:
I am joining the air force soon. I can not wait to finally be a part of it, and while I like some things about the hospital, I will be very glad that I never have to go back. If things work out the way that I want them to, I will be stationed at Patrick Air Force Base in Palm Beach, and will move down that way. I think I already have my place chosen, right next to the base. I won't have to feel like I'm at work all the time, but won't have to deal with traffic, and can walk or ride my bike wherever I please.
Trying to enjoy my area and my friends as much as possible before I move. Once I enlist, which should be within the next few months, I should ship to basic within seven months, but could be out of here the very next day. I'm working on selling most of my things in preparation, and will transport or store the remaining ones. Yeah, I'll be keeping the tech stuff. Most of it, anyway.
On that note, I sold the Lumina - I know I've only had it a few months! What happened to (finally) owning a car? Well, it died, the repairs weren't cost effective, and I wanted to transfer the plates to a new car as soon as possible. Now, I (finally) own a new car. It is all sorts of awesome - zoom zoom! I am surprised I get the gas mileage I do in it. Mazda wins. Now I don't have to walk and ride my bike everywhere, but I can take it along for the ride if I want to hit the trails somewhere.
Unfortunately, I only found out how freaking awesome Epcot is just this weekend. Speaking to the people at the German stores in German was pretty awesome... and getting to lol at the timid little Japanese girls who kept skittering out of my way while saying a barely audible apology when I was in the Japanese store, and all the French people waving at us and hopping up and down excitedly when we'd wander by. I'll have to get an annual pass and head back regularly. Hopefully Chris and Felicia will today, and maybe I can convince John and Mallory... maybe. We'll see. The space simulation also rocked.
Learned some of the most important lessons of my life recently, and couldn't be happier that I have. Also made some of the most important decisions of my life recently, and they are so far working out for the best. We'll see where some of the others lead, if they lead anywhere at all.
If I do get stationed in Patrick, perhaps I will overcome my phobia of dark water. Surfing just sounds too fun to pass up... if nothing else, I will have a beach to run on, and some wicked waves to watch during the storms and hurricanes. And if things are looking pretty devastating, I will be in walking distance of a military base with jets and right near some shuttles to space. Not only do I get to watch them all take off, but when the zompocalypse happens, I'll have a shuttle with a one way toll pass on the highway to Hell. AND ALSO NUKES.
That's all I feel like typing for now. Time to nap... had a nice, busy, exhausting, staying-up-way-too-late weekend. Did a lot of exhausting stuff today, too. Hope you're all well. Catch you later.
Zzzzz...
